MEET OUR OPERATORS

360 Eats

360 Eats is a nonprofit based in Tampa, Florida that is reshaping the food system with an innovative "360-degree" solution. Their programs include mobile food rescue, sustainable catering services, a mobile gourmet soup kitchen, and a compost initiative that works with their communities to bridge the gaps between food waste, food insecurity, and sustainability.

They model their organization on a “360 degree” circular economic structure to provide sustainable solutions aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources. Learn more about their efforts, here!

Berkeley Food Network
The Berkeley Food Network was founded in December 2016 with the goal of ending hunger in Berkeley. We have an innovative mix of community-centered and collaborative programs to get healthy food to the people in Berkeley who need it. At the heart of this work is our food sourcing and distribution hub operating out of our warehouse. We source food from the Alameda County Community Food Bank, local food businesses, and local farmers that is later distributed to Berkeley residents. Check them out, here!

GARDENING TIP FROM OUR FRIENDS AT COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION

Planning for next season?

Gardening in December is the season of planning and dreaming for the season to come. Typically, by the end of the month seed catalogues come out. Check out our Grow & Give video on reading and catalogue “How to Read a Seed Catalogue”. It’s also the time to spend figuring out if there are tools, materials, etc. that you would like to supplement your garden with. New garden tools can be exciting for the avid gardener (a hint if you have a gardener in your life and don’t know what to get for the holidays)! I’ll go through some things to look at in garden tools. Check out this month's article for great tasks to tackle this month, here.

Does your garden have food to share?
We want to help you get that excess harvest to hunger relief organizations that serve your local communities!  Share with your fellow gardeners!
