1. In 2-3 sentences, tell us a little about you and your garden.

I'm a master gardener volunteer in Pinellas county. I love growing and sharing fresh fruit, veggies and herbs. Foodscaping is a big priority in my Florida Friendly landscape.

2. What motivates you to grow and share your homegrown produce?

I experienced food insecurity as a child and even in my early adult years. It feels so good to have a way to give back to my community so others don't have to worry about access to healthy food.

3. Tell us about your proudest gardening moment.

I converted a large section of my yard to native and Florida Friendly plants. Watching pollinators and other wildlife enjoying my garden brings me joy every day.

4. What garden tool can you not live without?

Gloves. I always regret not wearing them, even for quick tasks.

5. What piece of advice would you give a beginning gardener?

Enjoy the process and ignore the fear of failure. If you succeed with just one plant, you have succeeded!
